This is a fine old book by General Forsyth giving an account of some actions he had a part in while serving in the army during the Civil War and afterwards in some Indian conflicts. Divided into four sections, it includes. The Closing Scene at Appomattox Court-house.
It contains 16 superb full-page illustrations on glossy stock by Rufus Zogbaum. A great book to add to your collection! About 2/3 of the lower edge of the front cover is worn through the cloth, otherwise light wear, a Christmas inscription is written on the front endpaper where there is also a Time Union stamp from Albany, NY dated Dec.
21, 1900, a light damp stain shows on the upper edge of a few illustrations (see pictures); good + condition, the binding is firm and the pages are clean. The letter/number at the end of the title line for this listing is just an inventory code for locating the book.
