The Red Badge of Courage, Stephen Crane D. Consistent with this assessment is the use of laid paper, and with the publisher's ads at the back of the book starting with "Gilbert Parker's Best Books"; and with no mention of Red Badge of Courage. This issue has been rebound with deep, royal red leather on the half. And corners, but thoughtfully preserves the original cream buckram covers. Including the artisan red, black, and gold foil stamping.

Foil trims accent both the spine and the corner overlays to the buckram. Tight; therefore the scans of endpapers are purposely a bit narrow so as.

Not to disturb the block. Cover, rear cover, and spine, are nearly mint as rebound. 2,3 have small foxing spots, but rest of block is clear. And quite uncommon for the 125 years of age.

No creases, marks, stains, or. Defects with the following caveats; a name dedication dated Sept 3, 1896. In pencil on first free endpaper (nicely done, see pic), several tape repairs. On last three pages of block where the advertisements are, see pic. Of the block is pristine, straight; block edges the same clean and. 233 plus advertisements and EPs. Aside from several minor flaws, this book is a coveted example. Of Crane's masterpiece, and presents as the finest copy I have.

Seen in years; a museum piece. Please see hi-res scans for details. Please see above pics and scans to determine grade. Opinion of the grading I would assign the books. I do try to be conservative and thorough.
