Document from War Department Letter Dated June 29th 1863. Papers have official seals and signatures. Seal from 25th Congressional District Court in Canandaigua. Peabody of Springwater New York. There is a diary of his life that was written, and he is known as chronicling life as a farmer in the 19th century.

This document illustrates one moment of his life. His father was one of the first settlers in the Livingston County Township of Springwater. Note the War department letter was dated the day after Union Forces started to arrive in Gettysburg. All photographs were taken by us. We photograph the items we sell.
