Large Quartos, measuring approximately 11 1/2" x 8". Handsome three-quarter bound (spine and corners) maroon calf over pebbled cloth, gilt.

Five raised bands to spine (six compartments) with gilt lettering and armorial design. Marbled endpapers and all edges marbled. Almost 3100 pages in all Vol. There are some scuffs or rub marks to the leather bindings and to the pebbled cloth. The books have been read by two readers only and text papers are in excellent condition with no scuffed edges or dog ears. The binding is good and tight. The appearance of the external surfaces can certainly be improved by someone with expertise in surface restoration.
