R ecollections of a Virginian in the Mexican, Indian, and Civil Wars 1894. Maury was an American and Confederate veteran who fought in various wars during the 19th century. He also wrote works about Confederate General Stonewall Jackson. "The product of a professional soldier and scholar, these reminiscences pertain to the war along the gulf and in the Trans-Mississippi" says Nevins.

Maury fought Indians on the Texas frontier, fought in the Mexican & Civil Wars. Maury fought at Corinth, Vicksburg and Mobile and ended the war as the Commander of the Department of the Gulf. I have been a private collector of Civil War and Western Americana books and ephemera for about 30 years.

I have recently decided to reduce the size of my library. I will be posting many, many Civil War and Western Americana related books in the coming months.
