Francis Trevelyan Miller, editor, and Robert S. The Photographic History of the Civil War In Ten Volumes. New York: The Review of Reviews, Co. Monumental compilation of Civil War photographs. Blue cloth boards with gilt titles and sword illustrations to spines, blind stamped decoration to front. Blue and white decorative endpapers with cameos of Lee and Lincoln. Exteriors of all volumes are fairly clean, some with minor soiling and rubbing.
Minor wear to edges, corners, and spine ends of all volumes. Interiors are clean overall, no writing. Binding and hinges are good except for 2 or 3 that are loose.
Only one had writing inside the front cover. Each volume is about 350 pages. Please see pictures and description for detail.
Two years of grim war. Poetry and eloquence of Blue and Gray. Each volume measures about 11 by 8-1/2 inches. Together they weigh almost 45 pounds.
