PERSONAL RECOLLECTIONS OF THE REBELLION NEW YORK COMMANDERY 1897. Please find another book about the Civil War in need of an interested collector or perhaps the person holding the first Volume 1 of this series from my reading of the Preface it appears that these were issued sequentially but not necessarily as a set. Please find another vintage book here, this one in astonishingly good condition, titled: "Personal Recollections of the War of the Rebellion-Addresses Delivered Before the Commandery of the State of New York, Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, " Second Series, edited by A. This large hard cover book (6 ¾ x 9 ¾ inches, 342 pages) was published by G. The book is bound in deep sky blue with gilt decorations on the cover and gilt titles on the spine. The frontispiece is a decidedly handsome, tissue-protected, steel engraving of General Grant. That is the only illustration. Please see the photos of the Table of Contents for your further information about the recollections. This book is in very good condition astonishingly so! With bright hard covers, some shading on the front and some darkening on the spine but very presentable. Inside, the book is unmarked, and the pages are clean and bright from cover to cover. There is some toning to the tissue-guard of the frontispiece which has led to a tiny bit of foxing on the plate and the title page, nothing extreme (please see the photos). The hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
