1885 & 1886 1st Edition Two Volume Set. Publisher's deluxe brown morocco leather over brown cloth boards with gilt circular emblems on the front and rear covers, marbled edges, decorated endpapers.

Grant was the commanding General during the American Civil War and 18th president of the United States. Very Good + for rarity. Boards have some rubbing, scuffs, edge wear and surface flaws. Volume 1 has a number stamp small on ffep.

Volume 2 ffep has a water stain and title page has a small tear. Tear to spine on Volume 2 and chip to tip of spine.
