New York, New York, 630-K 1j, R-8, Civil War token, NGC MS62, T. The obverse of this piece, struck on German silver, shows a wreath, with a mortar and pestle in the center, dividing the date, 1863, and a large " 1 ", at the opening of the wreath. The mortar and pestle are at the center, opposite thickest part of the design on the reverse, and are a little weak in strike.

Around the borders it shows T. BRIMELOW, DRUGGIST, 432 THIRD AVENUE, N. The reverse shows a right facing bust portrait of George Washington, in the center, with stars in front of and behind, at the border.

At the top and bottom it shows "GEORGE WASHINGTON, PRESIDENT". The center part of the hair on the portrait is lightly struck up, from the same effect as the mortar had on the obverse. Some random scattered dark speckles show in the fields, and one at the top of the head, and at the tip of the nose of Washington. The obverse surfaces are bright and flashy, and the reverse is slightly toned and subdued.
