Gavron, Sausages, (Amelia Gavron, one of a small number of female issuers of civil war tokens), 213 Bowery & 102 Pitt St. The reverse shows a head of Liberty facing the left, with the date, 1863 below it, and in front and back of it "FOR PUBLIC ACCOMODATION". The obverse shows part of a planchet crack from near the center down to about the 5:00 o'clock position.
It is lightly toned a mix of different brown shades of brass and has a lot of luster visible beneath the toning. The reverse is slightly more toned overall with tones of brass still showing. The thin line of the planchet crack is visible from about the ear of Liberty down to about the 7:00 o'clock position, through the "8" of the date.
