New York CIVIL WAR Uniform Button CSS HAT BADGE Sharpshooter SHOOTING CLUB PHOTO. I would appreciate any help or information regarding these images.

Both photos were taken by New York City photographers (Zaklasnik & Baumann and Klapper) and the coat buttons are all New York State seals. Each man is wearing a dark coat with bowtie, and each is wearing a hat with a "2 / CSS" hat badge. The letter "C" appears to have a small check-mark over it as seen in the Czech alphabet. My best guess is that these men may be members of a sharpshooting club made up of Czech immigrants or possibly Czech Civil War veterans.

Each Photo measures 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" and displays beautifully, with absolutely no rips, tears, holes, creases, folds, or repairs. Photos were never mounted or displayed. As mentioned above, THIS IS AN ORIGINAL VINTAGE PHOTO, NOT A LATER COPY or REPRINT. All items are from a smoke-free home.
