In the deluxe binding of 3/4 dark blue morocco leather over light blue, thatched pattern linen boards. 9 of the 10 volumes, missing only Vol 8, Soldier Life/Secret Service.

Though lacking a volume this set is dignified by its especially nice condition and the deluxe binding format. Textured dark blue leather spines and corners with gilt rules at cloth and leather seams, triple gilt rules at spine ends, and gilt struck titles at spine. A few volumes with a nick or tiny chip to the leather at the cloth leather seams of the boards.

Contents bright and fresh; bindings snug. Commanding shelf presence with immaculate spine surfaces.

Prior owner's very tiny 4 numeral catalog number penned to the top gutter corner of the front flyleaf of each volume. Vol 8 not present, but otherwise an exceptional set of books profusely illustrated with Brady & Co photos.
