There was two regiments, ours and 30th [New York] turned out to quiet them. There was one or two pieces of artillery sent up the river too, and six companies with it, but nothing occurred of any account. We have to report next Wednesday for muster. I remain yours as ever. The letter was written upon one side a half stationery sheet measuring about 5 x 8.
It is in excellent condition with little wear to edges and corners, other than the left edge where Crewell removed this sheet from its twin.
