Covers clean and square with only very light shelfwear. Rectangle cut from center of flyleaf, with tape affixing it to half title underneath. Early ownership signature (1894) on flyleaf and above List of Illustrations. Plates toned with some minor to moderate offsetting, with some foxing to pages. A few sparse instances of pencil marginalia.
