Rare early original vintage stereoview shows a number of horse wagons and drivers awaiting transport on the Jersey City Ferry. Caption on back reads, SCENE AT JERSEY CITY FERRY, FOOT OF COURTLANDT ST. The ferry was notable for being the first to use steam power which began in 1812. The ferry's history was closely tied to the Pennsylvania Railroad's station in Jersey City. This is a vintage photograph and not a copy or reproduction.

Stereoview photograph measures 3 1/4 x 7 inches and is in very good condition with light edge wear. There are no bends, tears, or creases and the images are very sharp and have strong tones with good contrast and clarity.
