History of the Great Rebellion - 3 Volume Set by T. History of the Great Rebellion from it's commencement to its close, giving an account of its origin, the succession of the southern states and the formation of the confederate government, and the concentration of the military and financial resources of the federal government... (see more on title pages). These 3 books are embellished with numerous and beautiful steel plate engravings, and valuable maps, showing all the important military points. Very rare to find all three together.

The cover shows some wear and is a green tint compared to the other 2 volumes that are more brown tone. Bottom right edge is worn through on edge.

There is white spots on spine that my clean off. Has tape on inside cover and some writing on the blank page.

Binding is very tight throughout. Page 217 has rough edges but still intact. All tissues in place on engravings.

Illustrations are nice and bright. Some pages are darker than others but does not take away from the exceptional condition of this 158 year old first edition book. Cover shows wear with edge of spine showing through. No writing or marks inside. Tissue intact but torn on frontispiece.

Foxing throughout but mostly photo pages. One loose page but still connected.

Best of the 3 but still shows wear to edge of spine and bumping of corners. Cover a little loose upon open but binding pretty tight.
