An original letter from Colonel Grantsyne at Chicago, Feb 21, 1899 to 149th NY comrade Captain Porter Farley thanking Farley for sending him a copy of Farley's recent address to the 140 th NY comrades at the Gettysburg reunion; he recalls the battle events well, and how he led the boys home in 1865, and asks to be remembered to all their old comrades. 3pp 8 x 5 ink.
