Holman's Edition of the Holy Bible published in Philadelphia in 1872. Includes a folding plate, full page plates and text illustrations, a four page family register between the two testaments and a mini photo album at the rear containing 8 cartes de visite size photos. Decatur Carmichael married Phebe E Linkletter on November 21st 1866.

He was a civil war veteran. Carmichael is a Scottish name, as is Linkletter, or Linklater, a surnames which originates in the Scottish northern isle of Orkney. 27 x 32 cms, and 10 cms thick. Enlistment Date: 18 Sep 1862. Enlisted in: Company D, New York 18th Infantry Regiment on 18 Sep 1862.
