Up for your consideration is a rare dug Civil War New York state seal cuff button known as NY28 with the back mark of " Extra / Quality". You know how hard it is to find a dug NY28 period. It is loaded with gilt as you can see & was recovered Cold Harbor, VA. It is perfect & will not find a better example.
