Scarce and very detailed pocket guidebook for travel within New England during the Civil War era and shortly after. Publisher's cloth binding, gilt title lettering, embossed ruled covers. Early gift compliments of W. Item is not new or in "new" condition.Paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound. Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. The asking price reflects the condition based on our examination and 40+ years full time exposure to antiquarian books and ephemera of all types.
