Up for sale is a token issued during the midst of the Civil War during a coin shortage, circa 1863-64, by Peter Warmkessel, of New York City. Description : The token is made from copper, and measures approximately 19mm in diameter. It corresponds with Fuld die numbers 630BZ-1a (R3).

It has been graded at MS 62 BN and encapsulated by NGC. According to NGC's Coin Census, 17 have been graded finer, with 4 at this grade. Condition : Colorful toning on the obverse with visible luster.
