Original CDV of Civil War soldier William Orr, 153rd New York Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted, August 30, 1862, at Galway, to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. H, September 20, 1802; promoted sergeant, October 17, 1862; discharged for disability, March 18, 1865, at hospital, New York. He is not identified on this image, but was on an album page (see photo #3 that shows the identification, provided for reference only, album / album page NOT included) and in a handwritten, numbered index inside of the album.
