Civil War Relic 80th New York Infantry Ensemble, Insignia & Buttons, dug in Dinwiddie County, Virg. Inia, in the spring of 2017 on private property with permission of the landowner.
Regimental Numbers "8" and "0", Company Letters "D" and "E", and two Coat Size New York Militia Buttons. Both buttons have shanks and are solid with pushes in the front. All other artifacts are solid, but the D has a noticeable break which scarcely affects the appearance in the display. Research shows that this regiment was on Provost Duty in Dinwiddie County in 1865, toward the end of the war. The artifacts are housed in a 5 x 6 Sgt.
