In total, this one measures 4 inches in length by 2 inches wide. The New York 142 Volunteer Infantry was attached to the 3rd brigade; Abercrombies Division in Washington DC, Battle of Cold Harbor; Battle of Petersburg; Battle of Richmond; and Battle of Fort Fisher just to name a few. Second ladder says: 142; third ladder says: New York. Plus has two crossed rifles or muskets both with bayonets. Nice black engraving of the line in scroll work design.
Then, at bottom is a silver Corps Badge with four diamond point insignia. No manufacturers' marks or soldier's name. Great condition with just light storage and use wear.
