CIVIL War Era Antiquarian Book Very Rare Constitution Without The 13th Amendment

  
Antique Civil War era publication, last before addition of 13th Amendment. Bound in publisher's walnut-brown textured cloth, front board bears title in gilt within blind-stamped triple line border and clover/ivy ornaments. Rear board carries clover/ivy theme.

Octavo (9 3/16 x 6 inches; 233 x 152 millimeters). Condition: ACCEPTABLE Spine has faded. Wear at the crown and foot. Stain spots upper right corner of rear board, small imperfections. Endpapers are stained and foxed, internal split at front gutter.

Overall, in quite useable condition. The text of each page was printed within a decorative double-line square border a printing style not common amongst American documents. This edition was the final issue of the Constitution to not include the 13th-Amendment on slavery.
