The order is ink signed by Captain TD Hodges, 35th US Colored Troop as AAAG.
The signer of the order, Thorndyke Deland Hodges served with the 35th Mass surviving the battle of Antietam, and then rose to Major of the 35th USCT fighting at the Battles of Olustee & Honey Hill, Florida.
