Civil War Artillery Fuse Box from the Navy Yard N. This is an 1863 marked original Civil War Naval Artillery Fuse Box in very nice untouched condition. This is the leather pouch that went on the side of the Civil War naval artilleryman. It held his paper time fuzes for firing the cannon shells. The outer flap is marked NAVY YARD N. The original closure tab is present on the bottom of the box and it still has the brass finial.

On the back of the box it has the original leather belt loop solidly intact. The leather is still very nice and pliable and it displays well. This will make a fine addition for a naval or artillery collector either one. The item "Civil War Artillery Fuse Box from the Navy Yard N.
