Circa 1880's, Union Army, 23rd Regiment New York State Militia Authentic Original Oversized Albumen Photograph. Photograph has been affixed to a thicker cardboard mount. Total dimensions approximately 10" x 12". Photograph only measures approximately 7.5" x 9.5". Overall condition for its age is excellent.

Some lighter sections light far left side. Some chips on the outer edges, stains, and a couple of creases in the mount.

On the back is written in pencil "23 Reg Brooklyn". At the bottom right corner, the following has been typed "NIO or Nic Fielitz, 209 1st Avenue, New York, Near 13th Street".
