Hammered steel rivets and this is one of the earlier 19th century folding chair patents. It has a simple side X construction with a slight curve in the back to leg piece. The seat is solid framed with carpet. A fine example early craftsmanship original and complete. Measures folded 27"h x 16"w x 3"d, and setup 32"h x 16"d x 16"w. Very good conditio n, wood solid intact.

ONE OWNER generations in same family, they said retains the original seat far as they know, maybe usable, try it! Might be time to change before heavy butt attacks it. True museum display piece, rarely found in this nice of condition.
