For sale is a beautiful copy of full leather cover personal copy of antique Civil War era American Holy BIBLE in excellent binding condition. The copy features full leather covers with empresses design. The copy used to contain a brass clip but it is no longer present. The book was printed in the year of 1863 by American Bible Society located in New York. Front end paper contains original owner's signature "John H Oswald". The Copy measures 5" by 3" for the cover size, roughly 2 thick. The bible is in excellent antique condition. The front and back cover are both full leather and in good shape.

The binding and leather cover is tight. The hinges where covers meet the spine are intact. There are very little foxing, yellowing, staining in this copy. Such an well preserved state is rare to find for Bibles of this age. Please check all photos for detailed condition.
