For sale is a copy of RARE! LARGE sized full tooled leather cover antique pre Civil War era American FAMILY HOLY BIBLE in Great antique condition.

It was printed in the year 1854 by the American Bible Society located in New York. The family record pages indicate that this family Bible once belonged to the Safford family. The Bible measures 9" by 6" for the cover size, more than 2.5 thick. The front and back covers are both full leather and in great antique condition. Other Age related sign of rubbing is to be expected. The hinges has some surface layer leather crack at the top 1-2 but still well connected by binding paper and string. See the last photo for detail. All pages appear to be complete. There are some age related foxing, yellowing, staining commensurate with age, but relatively clean and without damage from water or dampness. Please check all photos for detailed condition. All in all, this is a rare well-preserved large size pre Civil War era American religious text ready to be added to your antique bible collection.
