The Circassian hair tonic, which claims to not be a dye, promises to change grey hair to brown through some magical process. Rare edition of the song "Good Bye Old Arm" Library of Congress catalog M1640.
H first appeared in the same year, written by WH Hayward, and first published by George Willig, Baltimore, 1865. Dedicated to General Andrew W.Denison who lost his arm at Wilderness and waxed patriotically and poetically in a Nashville hospital while holding the severed limb in his bed in a kind of sentimental embrace. Something of an irony that Stonewall Jackson lost his arm in the same battle, yet did not survive to write a song about it. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog.
