3 rare Civil War backmarked buttons Connecticut, New York & Massachusetts

  

For your consideration are three rare Civil War buttons from the states of Connecticut, New York & Massachusetts. The Connecticut & New York are in beautiful dug condition while the Massachusetts is non-dug. All are in perfect condition including the straight shanks. CT13 Connecticut state seal coat button dug with the very hard to find b/m of Smith. Young & Co / New York. I do not know where this was dug.

State seal vest button dug with an unlisted b/m of Horstmann & Allien. MS35 Mass Volunteer Militia non-dug coat button with the very rare b/m of Horstmann Bros & Co / New York. Tice states that this is a rare backmark to find on an MS35 & is the first such example that I have owned in over 45+ years of collecting.
