Inman, a wounded deserter from the Confederate army near the end of the American Civil War who walks for months to return to Ada Monroe, the love of his life; the story shares several similarities with Homer's'The Odyssey'. In a cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. A few marks to the boards. Dustwrapper has a little light edgewear. Pages are bright and clean, with just the odd spot to the textblock edge.Overall Condition: Near Fine Fine. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy.
