Radway's Ready Relief was introduced in 1847 as a liniment for external and internal pain. During the American Civil War, the company published this almanac, which had a copy of the Constitution (starts on page 21) as well as the standard moon phases, articles on health and, in the case, testimonials from various members of the army praising the qualities of Dr.
This particular example has some interesting marginalia that appears to be an attempt at record-keeping as the penciled notations are across various dates (see photos). Some chipped edges and soiling. Great little example of an attempt to keep spirits up and promote patriotism during the war. Classic of its kind, quite rare and highly entertaining.
