Pair of Civil War CDVs of Adjutant Waldo Sprague, 17th New York Regiment

  

A pair of CDVs featuring the same officer, identified in pencil on one image as Adjutant Waldo Sprague of the 17th New York Regiment. One image is a bust of Sprague with shoulder bars visible. The other is a full-length view of Sprague dressed in a frock coat, dark blue trousers, and sword belt with M1851 eagle buckle.

In one hand he holds his M1850 foot officers sword, while he holds his cap in the other. Both images bear the backmark of Charles K. Bill of New York, and each measures about 2 1/2 x 4. They are in very good condition.
