Civil war token store card type from Buffalo, New York, 105-J 1a, NGC MS 63 BN, R-4, copper. The obverse shows merchant Hochstetter & Strauss, Dry Goods, 280 Main St. The reverse shows an Indian head facing the viewer's left, with stars around and the date, 1863, below. The obverse shows near as much red, flashy color and luster as it does brown tone.

The light toning is in the fields between the rows of lettering, more on the upper half than the lower. The reverse shows a bright band of red around the stars and the date, with the Indian head and the fields immediately around it, toned medium brown.
