Civil War Soldier in Uniform by Ph. Rupp NY Brigadier General Connecticut? Rare Civil War Era CDV coming directly from the family in which it descended.

This was found with other images I have of an ID'ed soldier named Max Henry Stein who was Quartermaster Sergeant, 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery. Although there are similarities in appearance, he has a full beard in this image rather than his mutton chops in the ID'ed photo.

Based on the hat, I believe this man is a Brigadier general. Possibly a friend of Stein? NOTE: Take a look at the other CDV I have listed of Max H. Measurements: 4" H x 2 1/4" W.
