Civil War 6th Pl Tintypes Armed ID'ed New York Soldier Wife With Photo Rare Case

  

Excellent pair of husband and wife tintypes. The husband is dressed in his Union Army Uniform armed with his rifle and is identified behind the case in period handwriting. I can't quite make out the name but it always says Adams, New York & dated Jan 24th 1863.

The soldiers wife holds a photo within her own photo, rare and unusual in its own right. Both are housed in a a very rare doubled sided jappaned mother of pearl book style case that is in very good condition considering how fragile the mother of pearl is.
