This rod was posted to the Classic Fly Rod forum & Orca Reel Talk a few years ago, so more pictures & information can be seen in old threads by simply searching John Conroy rod at Google. Close up pictures of this exact rod are all over the Internet. Being offered is this early antique (unmarked) fishing rod most likely made by American maker John Conroy (New York 52 Fulton Street). This style of rod was made from the 1840's to around 1875. Was told by collector's that the rod eyes matched Henry Prichard's 1859 patent description. Most likely made in the 1860's due to the tip compartment in the butt section. Contains rolled & soldered ferrules w/ witness marks. Displays it's original 150 year old patina! Hardware could be brass or nickel silver. Tip section is a different color due to being stored in the butt section for many many years! Still retains original light oxidation patina in or around hardware.

Measures over 11 feet when assembled. Any questions feel free to ask. Butt section measures - 39 7/8.

Middle section measures - 39 1/2. End section measures - 39 3/8. Tip section measures - 20 5/8.
